Aug 21, 2014 6:19 AM in response to vodkadashby CriticalAngle,I am affected by this problem and I don't have the MS Windows update KB2822241 and I'm not connected to Microsoft Server.
So I would suggest that this problem is unrelated to MS Windows update KB2822241.
I have tried Windows 8.1 system restores to beyond last week and tried to install previous versions of iTunes (11.1.1) - nothing works.
All iPhones, iPads, i***** devices in the house cause the same problem. Cant sync ** anything ** to any of my devices at all.
The mystery deepens!

Aug 21, 2014 6:57 AM in response to ReiverBlueby StuRob,It is indeed Windows 8 or 2012 according to the TechNet site.
I fear that this might take a bit of time for Apple to resolve, seems to be the patch 2 release of the 11.3.1 iTunes, but whatever has caused it has fubar'd the sync server.
Could try calling Apple, but I suspect that will simply result in an expensive call to be told "no, there's no issue that we're aware of".

Aug 21, 2014 7:13 AM in response to StuRobby Kcpvwill,I had the same problem with my iPad 2 & Windows XP PC and iTunes 11.3.1.2. I managed to fix it by uninstalling a package called Trusteer Endpoint Protection supplied by my bank.
Reinstalling Truster made the problem reappear
Hope this helps you all

Aug 21, 2014 7:31 AM in response to Kcpvwillby StuRob,Great call Keith, uninstalled and iTunes magically jumps back into life.
Trusteer is a security product that many banks get you to install on to your browsers for online banking security.... odd that that's interacting with iTunes.

Aug 21, 2014 7:36 AM in response to jerryt13626by CriticalAngle,I too uninstalled Trusteer Rapport security that I got from Royal bank of Scotland (an IBM product).
This solution has worked for me and iTunes is now syncing with ALL my devices again and not running slow etc.!
Well done Keith! Hats off to you finding that one!
Hope it or similar works for everybody else...
