Q: iMac waking up on its own

We have a family iMac that is waking up on its own.

27" Mid-2011

3.4 GHz i7

10.9.4

Pretty clean system, as I don't have a lot of software loaded. My son usually uses it for games, Minecraft mainly.

The last couple days it has been waking up on its own with no prompting. I checked the usual suspects, "Wake for network access" is not clicked, bluetooth is off and there are no sharing services that have been clicked on.

When I check the console, the only message that shows up during the self wake is:

"8/21/14 11:20:06.960 PM Console[309]: setPresentationOptions called with NSApplicationPresentationFullScreen when there is no visible fullscreen window; this call will be ignored."

This keeps appearing at the time the self-wake up occurs.

Any ideas out there?

Thanks in advance!

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It makes no changes to your data. The instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.

Please triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

    sudo pmset -g log | sed -E '/Assert|UU/d' | tail -n 50 | pbcopy

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.

Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ In the Finder, select Go Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.

Paste into the Terminal window by pressing the key combination command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting. You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. Confirm. You don't need to post the warning.

If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator. Log in as one and start over.

Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear below what you entered.

The output of the command will be automatically copied to the Clipboard. If the command produced no output, the Clipboard will be empty. Paste into a reply to this message.

The Terminal window doesn't show the output. Please don't copy anything from there.

The only USB peripheral connected to the iMac when I conducted the test is the apple keyboard and apple mouse.

On occasion, I have a mophie helium battery pack charging to the iMac via USB. Might that be the culprit? When I get home, I will run the test with the mophie connected and without it connected and paste results of both tests.

Thank you again! I really appreciate it!

I have an iMac that randomly wakes up from sleep, most recently at 1am this morning.  21.5 inch, Late 2012.  2.9 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, OS X 10.9.4.  Problem only started a few weeks ago.  Several phone calls to Apple have not resolved anything.  I have nothing connected to the iMac by USB except the Apple keyboard.  I have a TimeCapsule connected by ethernet cable.  No non-Apple software installed except MS Office for Mac and iBank app.  Problem occurs when all programs/apps are closed, and when TimeCapsule is turned off.

Wake for network access is disabled.  Enable power nap is disabled.  Allow bluetooth devices to wake is disabled.

I ran Linc Davis' diagnostic test with the following result.  Sure would appreciate any help!
