Q: Can I back up all of my itunes content on my PC or on a flash drive and then reload it into my itunes account if I should lose it during a deauthorization?
Can I back up all of my itunes content onto my PC or to a flash drive for safekeeping while I deauthorize, then reauthorize the computers associated with my account? I worried that when I deauthorize my PC, I will lose my content and it is way too much to replace. Thanks for your help.
Dell PC, Windows 8

When you deauthorise your account it's not deleted from your iTunes library, it only stops you using the account's iTunes downloads until you reauthorise the account.
But you should be taking backups of your library anyway, there is no guarantee that you will be able to redownload your purchases in the future - ringtones and audiobooks are one-time only downloads, and other items can only be redownloaded if they remain in the store (and you can't redownload items if you change countries)
Backup your library to an external drive : iTunes: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive
Orthere is this user-tip for how you could use a program called SyncToy to backup your library : Backup your iTunes for Windows library with SyncToy
