Q: After migration what happens to my old data in Mac.

Hi everyone

Suppose if i transfer information from a old mac to new mac , i want to know whether the datas in my old mac will stay there or it will be deleted.

Migration Assistant copies the information to the new computer while leaving it on the old computer. The material will still be there after you migrate.

When you migrate to your new Mac, do it before setting up any user accounts. Then you will be able to migrate accounts from the old Mac. If you have already set up an account with your username the old one will come in under a different name and you will have problems transferring the data.
