Q: Display Issues on my Apple Iphone 5s

Hi,

My IPhone 5S is about 8 months old and still under warranty.

4 days back faint gray lines started appearing on the bottom of the screen. After another day a small black spot appeared on one side of the grey lines and it has been growing since then.

I visited Apple Service Centre yesterday. They could not diagnose the issue so they sent some pictures to the Singapore team for escalation. I had a word with the singapore team today and they tell me that the black spot is likely due to pressure damage and they will not cover this under warranty.

On being quizzed further, they do not have any clue why the grey lines have occurred.

On being asked how come there are no other signs of damage either to my touchscreen or to my screen body, they hilariously replied the pressure damage is from inside the phone.

When asked how they think I could have applied pressure from inside my phone, they are clueless again.

I fail to understand how apple can products worth almost a 1000$ and have no technical team in India to look at the service issues after inspecting my phone. Their service team in Singapore relies only on pics and haphazard guesses sent by the team here to judge warranty claims.

I request Apple to look into this immediately and I expect an engineer to at least inspect my phone physically once before deciding on the issue.
