Q: Does your new 27" LED Cinema Display buzz?

Got my 27 inch LED Cinema Display yesterday: very nice monitor.

However, I have noticed a feint buzz/ticking coming from the bottom right of the monitor when the brightness is set high. Just loud enough to be VERY annoying!

Is this a feature of the monitor? Does anyone else's new 27" Display have a buzz?

MacBook Pro (Late 2008), Mac OS X (10.6.4)

    my 3year old 27inch display had the same problem, it started out as a real faint noise, i didn't think about it until the last few weeks when it got really bad,,, i mean really loud, people across a large office could hear it.... then all of a sudden my APC surge protector connected to the monitor tripped and shut off (only monitor and back up G-drive connected) only to find out that it was the end of the screen cause when i plugged it back in it was dead. luckily it didn't damage my hard drive.

     

    i'm out of luck too as warranty ran out.

     

    definitely take the monitor in as soon as the noise by the speakers comes on...

     

    by the way, when the noise got real loud it seemed coming from the middle rear area where the hinge for the base is.
