Aug 28, 2014 5:57 AM in response to Carolyn Samitby a brody,Carolyn, actually if they are similar, a few Macs can upgrade from any version of 10.4.4 through 10.4.11 (10.4.0, 10.4.1, 10.4.2, 10.4.3 are not included) to 10.6 and then 10.6 to 10.6.8, and then to 10.9. This tip covers which ones, and the pitfalls one may run into:
Are there 10.4 systems that can upgrade to 10.8 or 10.9?
Since their signature says MacBook Air, they should look at that.

Aug 28, 2014 6:29 AM in response to a brodyby a brody,★HelpfulActually looking over my tips again, only MacBook Airs prebundled with 10.5.5 or later may upgrade to 10.9. So the point here is moot.
And also the signature doesn't make sense, the earliest operating system for an Air was 10.5.1. So be sure to first properly identify your MacBook using this tip:

To determine which tip about prebundled software applies to you.
