Aug 28, 2014 9:24 PM in response to usernameLynnby antnowrd,★HelpfulI have recently come in to the same problem. My fix was to simply unplug the printer (no Cables). Go to System Preferences - Printers and Scanners - and simply removed my printer from the list on the right Button. Than while still unplugged from the printer, I hit the add button and there my printer was. Clicked on my printer opened the queue, and since I have a scanner attached to my printer, if i could scan I could print. otherwise try to print a test page.
Problem:
Hooked up printer using USB cord.
Fix:
1:Remove USB Cord
2: Printer Preferences- removed printer from printer list
3: Added the printer to list
4: Print test page
Assuming your Wi-Fi is all setup and working properly
I hope this helps otherwise happy reading
