Aug 29, 2014 8:33 AM in response to mjbuckby Dah•veed,Because that is Apple's policy. None of your fellow users here knows why that is Apple's policy, but my guess is that it is to verify that it is you who is attempting to use the Apple ID to set up a Mac App Store/iTunes Store account.
