Aug 30, 2014 11:23 AM in response to Eric Rootby greg1424,Yes, I downloaded the software, the printer and fax work as does the wireless (computer to printer )
I guess I need to call HP
The AIRPRINT on HP sends you in circles,
They do not have a simple download for AirPrint.I am not keen on downloading everything again

Aug 30, 2014 12:02 PM in response to greg1424by greg sahli,Greg, did you see this important note for Officejet printers? (from the link above)
NOTE:Download and install any firmware updates from the printer control panel to when connected to the Internet. You do not need to use your Mac for this process.
You don't need to download anything on your Mac.

Aug 30, 2014 12:45 PM in response to greg1424by tbirdvet,When you setup your printer for WiFi be sure to pick airprint and not the name of the printer in the use box. Common mistake. This will also mess up your scan feature as well.

Aug 30, 2014 2:36 PM in response to tbirdvetby greg1424,Thanks, I just set it up,
When I did it yesterday, it kept insisting that I sign up for an INK deal, I bypassed it and I think I ended the setup. Now it gives me a claim code, I will see where that takes me.

Aug 30, 2014 3:02 PM in response to greg1424by greg1424,Well the setup was easy to connect to the HP Network.
But no luck yet, maybe it takes awhile to communicate any updates.
Will try later
The Systems Preps in "Scan" says it is scanned but does not show up un my desktop, where I have it located to go.
Here is what I got when I try the HP Scan from the HP App: -

Aug 30, 2014 3:38 PM in response to sbermanby greg1424,I got the Scan in the Mac Basics, it will print that way.
I am trying to get the HPScan app to work, it is really a great program.
I will eventually call HP if the updates do not work. Thanks it did show me another way also thru Preview.
I will get there and let everyone know,
Greg

Sorry to repeat here - have you updated the printer's firmware From The Printer's Front Control Panel?
Airprint "software" on your Mac is for sharing a printer through the Mac - but the printer you bought is supposed to have the capability of Airprint - directly to the printer - from mobile devices.
I think this is where the confusion lies.
And sorry if I'm misunderstanding...
