Q: Frequent Kernel Panics (2.3 GHz i7 MBP)

Late 2013 Retina 2013, 16 GB Apple Installed RAM (1600 MHz DDR3), Intel Iris Pro Graphics, OSX 10.9.4

Seems to happen most frequently when switching applications, or when removing/connecting an external display. Adobe Premiere and After Effects also seem to make it particularly sensitive. Here is the most recent log, can anyone help me decipher it? Thanks!

Does it happen if only the external displays are connected and nothing else?

Have you booted with the 'D' key to run the hardware test, and if so, did you get any results?

I haven't run a hardware test, but will give that a try.

I use it very infrequently without the external display, but I don't recall it happening without. I have disconnected the display, closed the computer, opened it later, and had it crash within a moment or two. That still seems like it could be related to the disconnection of the external display, however.

Generally that indicates a RAM issue, especially if you get a 4 language screen telling you to restart if that's the only problematic peripheral.

I see you have a Microsoft Mouse, and some other third party peripherals, so I'd eliminate all non-Apple peripherals besides displays to see if it can be reproduced.  These three drivers below may be problematic.  For one thing, Snow Leopard included Rosetta, which 10.9 does not.  That adds support for pre-2006 Macs, known as PowerPC:

    com.paceap.kext.pacesupport.snowleopard 5.9

    com.Cycling74.driver.Soundflower 1.6.2

    com.manycamllc.driver.ManyCamDriver 0.0.9

Lastly, if your data isn't backed up and Apple replacing the RAM doesn't help (it is still under warranty if it is under a year old, or you have AppleCare),

I would backup your data, and try to repair the directory

Good to know. I've migrated at least two machines to this one, so there are certainly some old drivers that I'm no longer using. Coincidentally, I had a kernel panic last night using the machine with nothing connected. Will try to swap some RAM, delete drivers and see if there's an improvement. Thanks again for your help!

Have you solved your problem in the end? I'm having almost the exact same issue here and the advisors are at a loss here. Would you please shine a light or two if you happen to know something? Thanks.

Wish I could help you, friend. I continue to kernel panic, even after deleting drivers and launch agents. I've not had a chance to swap RAM, but I've noticed it happens a lot while attaching or removing external devices, like displays and USB input devices like drawing tablets or mice. Then again, it happens when using the machine completely on it's own, but seemingly less frequently. Multiple hardware checks have come back negative.

    Frustrating.
