You don't have a PowerMac.  PowerMac refers to desktop Macs made early 2006 and before.

iOS does not run on iMacs.  Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac to find your Mac OS X version.

Error -1712 (with the minus sign) means the application has timed out.  Is there a minus sign?

Is your data backed up?  How full is your hard drive?

I've asked this thread be moved to the Safari forum.

If you haven't already done so, restart the computer and try again. If an application won't quit and prevents restarting, force quit. As a last resort, force a shutdown by holding down the power button for a few seconds. Then press it again briefly to start up.
