Q: Unable to close iPhoto because of message that it is still "importing photos to library" -completed days ago, but message persists.

When I try to close iPhoto I get a pop up message that  "photos are being imported to the library".  This prevents me from closing iPhoto.  I imported photos successfully days ago but get this message whenever I try to close the program.  How can I eliminate the message or close the program?

Are you asking about iPhoto on your iPhone or your Mac? On your Mac go to the -menu and select "Force Quit" to close iPhoto. On your iPhone restart the iPhone, if you cannot close iPhoto as described here:  iOS: Troubleshooting apps purchased from the App Store

I was able to resolve the problem by manually shutting the computer down with the power button.  It was resolved when I restarted my Mac.  So I couldn't test the suggested fix.  Thank you.
