Aug 31, 2014 1:55 AM in response to balgreen29by G4UZG,No signs up an updated version of rapport (1403.67) as one person quoted. Website still has1307.
It would appear they don't seem all that too bothered with, unconfirmed, just the UK having a problem (1% of world [population) and only those with ipads (lets be generous and say 5%) and then of those only a very small number who use online banking and have reported the problem....

Aug 31, 2014 3:52 AM in response to jerryt13626by terryfromnr amersham,The "Update Now" button on the Dashboard of my Rapport 1307.93 upgraded it to 1403.67 last week and it's working fine. Hope this helps others.

Aug 31, 2014 6:36 AM in response to G4UZGby balgreen29,In fairness Peter, I've had this reply following lodging a ticket this morning - "The issue you have reported is currently being investigated by our company
experts and we expect it to be resolved in a future release of Rapport." Perhaps this is a standard reply, but at least they have replied, unlike Apple who seem to still be putting forward a solution that is 3 years old.

Aug 31, 2014 6:38 AM in response to balgreen29by balgreen29,Sorry, the above is an old reply. I have to say I've found IBM very responsive. They opened a ticket, gave me a resolution and asked for feedback. Although it does appear to be a Rapport issue, I haven't seen any comment whatsoever from Apple. the 1307 release fixed it for me.

Sep 5, 2014 7:53 AM in response to terryfromnr amershamby rdlogie,iTunes is telling me the same thing - my iPhone has never been backed up on this PC - and not in the cloud either! ***? My backups are all missing from iTunes, but I can see what I think is them in their folder: C:\Users\*your user name here*\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync
Also, iTunes is SLOOOOOOOOW, and constantly not responding.
Hmmm... Been a devoted Apple/iOS guy for years, but maybe it's time to switch to Android?

Sep 5, 2014 7:57 AM in response to rdlogieby wegras,If you bothered to read the thread you would see you likely have Rapport installed on your PC
If so remove it

Sep 5, 2014 9:28 AM in response to balgreen29by G4UZG,New version of Rapport, 1403 now available to download from Trusteer website. Links from bank sites also point to new version.
New version has been downloaded and tested, no problem with sync with iTunes.
However, you may need to be sure to remove all traces of Rapport before reinstalling, including the folders in user data and program data as indicated on their website.

Sep 10, 2014 10:49 AM in response to G4UZGby Bobbymcduff,I don't have Trusteer Rapport on my computer but I still get the error message - does anyone have an idea what I can for that.
-
Sep 10, 2014 1:23 PM in response to Bobbymcduffby G4UZG,Although Rapport appears to be the main culprit, as Apple suggest, it could be some other security software on your computer.
There are a number of other online banking security software on the market, A quick search brings up
Safecentral webprotection
Prevx Safeonline
TrendMicro Browser Guard
Uninstall any security related software, especially those for the browser, test for the problem and then reinstall one by one until you find the culprit.

Sep 17, 2014 4:44 PM in response to wegrasby chrischandler,No not a UK problem
I'm having the same problem in Australia and I don't have trusteer software, or any other bank software for that matter
Do have MS security essentials and windows firewall.
Any other ideas

Oct 17, 2014 1:40 AM in response to Kienntby empgdca,Dear all,
I got this error this morning, without having made any changes to my hardware or software, though I had just done a "restart" of my iPhone (5S). I'm running windows 8.1 and iTunes 11.4.0.18 and the PC had only just started up (from a full shut down).
I'm sure it's the first thing that most people do do (and I'm sure you had all tried this before doing serious re-installs), but the error went away again for me after I unplugged the phone, restarted iTunes, and turned off/re-started the phone, before trying again. I didn't re-start Windows, though that would have been my next step.
Maybe I'm just lucky!
Cheers
David

Dec 7, 2014 2:03 PM in response to chrischandlerby kkinjax,Same here, ChrisChandler,
I am in the US. There is nothing installed on my computer that resembles any banking security software...as a matter of fact, I have had iTunes on this system for a few years and I have not installed anything new in quite awhile.
My security program is McAfee and has been for quite some time...frankly, I should not have to un-install any security software to sync my phone(s) and iPads.
I love my Apple devices, but iTunes is a pain in the rear...very frustrating.
Also, you would think that by now Apple would have added the ability to sync everything on your device(s) back to iTunes instead of having to rebuild everything from scratch in iTunes in the event that you have to reformat your hard drive and re-install iTunes...I have yet to see a way to do this, without buying third-party software and even those (that I have experienced thus far) do not put everything back into iTunes the exact way that is was.
I would really like to know how to resolve this "iTunes was unable to load data class information from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later."
Kudos to the person that figured out the "Rapport" software thing, but obviously, this is not the case for everyone.

Dec 10, 2014 6:02 AM in response to kkinjaxby G4UZG,It will be some form of security or routing software running that is messing with the API that iTunes uses for sync.
You may not have installed anything new but an automatic update that has run in the background without your knowledge may be at fault.
Trying a restore to an earlier point may be an option to try. Otherwise it is the "uninstall by sequence" to find the problem software.
