Q: osx uninstall mavericks

I updated osx to mavericks and its been unstable since that update.  How do i remove the update and restore it to its original os?  and i didnt know i was supposed to do a backup prior to updating

    Without an existing backup this will not be simple, and you still need to make a backup before you start.

     

    So do that (Time Machine) and post back.

    Step one is to make a bootable backup/clone or Time Machine backup. If your machine shipped with Lion or later, boot into internet recovery mode, use Disk Utility to wipe the machine, and restore the OS. On first boot, use the Setup Assistant to migrate from the backup. If it shipped with SL or earlier, then use those install discs to reinstall the OS, followed by the Setup Assistant.
