Q: How do I remove the free U2 album from my iTunes library?

So we all have a free U2 album in our iTunes library now. I don't like U2 and don't want it. I get an option to 'hide' it in iTunes, but not to delete it. How can I remove it entirely from my library in iCloud? I have just been to iCloud.com, but can't see anything there.

iTunes, Windows 7

On an iOS device you should be able to swipe right to left across the track to bring up a delete option. This may not always work if the track has been partially downloaded or transferred in from your library, or some other problem exists. In such cases syncing with iTunes may resolve. Or you can try removing all music and then adding it back. If you can find no other way to remove the problem tracks backup the device, restore as a new device, then restore the backup you took earlier.

Post removals are always notified via email.

I guess I go to the store and raise a little heck. If they want to delete my posts for no reason.

no I did not get an email stating why if I knew why do you think I would ask. I'm simply stating that I have no option to delete the song. is that violating any terms of service?

You received an email in whatever account address you signed into these Forums with. And if you cannot understand or comprehend the instructions here as to hiding the U2 Album, as it is causing such stress and trauma to your life, then there is not much more anyone can do for you. Have you called your lawyer yet? Pain and suffering, etc.?

Or start your own thread so we can ignore it and stop piggybacking off someone else's thread as you are doing.

    Good luck

The Store did not remove your posts. You will need to visit the Forums in person.

Apparently it is for you. If you do not have a lawyer at present, try one of Samsung's Legal Representatives. I hear they are quite good.

    Good Luck

Didn't you read them before you agreed to them?

No thanks. There are enough god-awful comedies on TV at present.

    But thanks anyway.

Because this is the Apple live chat support told me to do it. I had already hid the album in my account but had 1 song that was downloaded and would not delete. Every time you tried to swipe to delete (like you're suppose to) it didn't work!

It was this option or backing up my whole phone and resetting it! Having to resync my music was much easier than resetting my whole phone!

I tried hiding the album on Itunes, but it didn't remove the song from my actual phone.  Please advise.

Delete them from your phone as you would any other music.
