Sep 14, 2014 8:04 AM in response to sseligsonby léonie,I was going through my iphone library and I notice that my many of my photos are just the faces of a larger photo. It seemed that iphone duplicated the image and just zoomed in on the face. Anyone else have this issue? Any way to fix?
Where are you seeing these faces thumbnails? Are you looking at the iPhoto library in the Finder or are you browsing the "faces" view in iPhoto?
When iPhoto detects faces in your photos, it stores small faces thumbnail photos to speed up the browsing by faces. This is intended and cannot be disabled.

- what version of iPhoto are you using?
- what system version are you running?
- what fixes have you tried?
- where is your library located?
- are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
- what type of Mac?
- how much free space on your boot drive?
- have you imported an older library into your current library.
