If you connect another input to the HDMI input to the TV does that work OK?
Try resetting the SMC and PRAM

Maybe it is related to the Yosemite beta too

Oct 25, 2014 1:32 PM in response to Barak.Pby iPau,I'm experiencing the same with Yosemite. In the past this worked for me. I'm not sure if this solves the problem with Yosemite as well.
1. Download http://www.mediafire.com/?fdz29bgsg3zm653
Folder is DisplayVendorID-410c
2. Unarchive it3. In the Finder, go to (using cmd-shift-G) the directory /System/Library/Displays/Overrides/
4. Place the entire directory you unarchived in step 2 (DisplayVendorID-410c) in the directory /System/Library/Displays/Overrides/
5. Reboot
