Q: All my hundreds tags from iPhoto are gone in iOS 8?

I can’t believe it if is true. Years of organization… I can’t do it again.

No tags in iOS 8 Photos? What a mess. I can't live without my tags.

I had 9000 photos, now less than 6000. Nightmare. Any help? where’s my backup? iOS 7 deleted all my PDFs and now this.

iPad 2, iOS 5.1.1, Macbook Air, OSX 10.8.1

I sincerely hope, Apple will add this feature back in an update.

As a work-around:  See this help page:

Migrating from iPhoto for iOS to Photos on iOS 8

    • Tags and captions from iPhoto are not displayed in Photos, but you can use them as search terms and they will show up respectively as Keywords and Titles in Photos search results.

Your tags are still there, only you cannot add new tags and captions.

But search for your tags and create albums from the results for the time being.

And please, send feedback to Apple:   Apple - iPhoto - Feedback

For example: searching for the tag Bathroom. I had over 200 photos... the result now? 2 photos. now what? And now I can see the tag, I have to remember. Now is showing Kitchen photos in the Bathroom tag. There's a way to remove the tags? Why Apple Why?
