Q: Cant log in to Find my Friends seperately from main icloud account in iOS8??

Now when my wife and I sign into our shared Icloud account Find my Friends logs in automatically with that ID.Is there anyway around this? A way to long into FmF manually.

This keeps us from being able to differentiate our phones for sharing location

iPhone 5s, iOS 8

    Welcome to the Apple Community.

You each need your own account.

That's unfortunate.  We now lose all of the auto-syncing we had before, including our photos.  So, I guess I either get synced content or shared location.  I'll have to look to an external app.  Having a shared primary iClous account is more improtant.

Not only that but if you need more storage you have to buy that storage separately.

My wife and I had added the 200gb storage plan to our Icloud but it is now unavailable to me.  So this is now going to cost me more money!!!

Ridiculous that you can opt to sign into Find my Friends separately!

I agree. It's not a good thing that 'Find My Friends' always use the primary iCloud account.

It would be good...if Apple made the Family Sharing thing a lot better then it is right now. You still can't create one PhotoStream from different iCloud accounts. Such a feature is family sharing. The kids that create a photo, the whife that takes pictures and all those pictures can be viewed with one click on the Apple TV, while the Mac is storing (backup) all those pictures.

But because Family Sharing is to simply and you can not share everything I understand why people are still sharing one iCloud account. So please...update 'Find my Friends' so that you can login with another iCloud account then the primary one.

same problem here, forced to choose between find my friends and a shared photostream.   Damnit apple, either relax the arbitrary restriction on the find my friends app, or allow for a proper automatic shared photostream, will ya!?  dont fix wha aint broke, and all that .... Hmph.
