Sep 12, 2014 3:27 PM in response to picasby polishedstaple,My login to discussions.apple.com, for years, has been different from my Apple ID. Also, I changed the email address on my Apple ID about two weeks ago, and yet the Apple Support Communities is still showing/using my older email address. So how do I fix this?
Thank you.

Sep 12, 2014 3:54 PM in response to polishedstapleby picas,Nonetheless it is still an Apple ID. All I can do is report it, then it's up to the moderators to look in to.

Sep 18, 2014 11:39 AM in response to picasby joanna w,I have the exact same issue. Plus, the old email address (that's still listed in ASC) was hacked and is virtually inaccessible, so any replies sent to it will be floating in the void forever.
Any help will be much appreciated!

Changing primary email address requires direct contact with a live person at Apple. To find a phone number for your country:

Sep 18, 2014 12:29 PM in response to ChitlinsCCby polishedstaple,I did as ChitlinsCC suggested, and called the number for the USA. After checking with some people in his department, he said to send your email change request to communityaccounts@apple.com. Just state the old address and the new one you would like to use. I hope this helps other people.

Oct 2, 2014 6:45 AM in response to polishedstapleby ChitlinsCC,a quick Q... did this "department" indicate what was happening that prevented the normal editing of your primary email address? aberration? just you? the guy's having to check around with colleagues seems to indicate it is not common. Could it be that 'communityaccounts' would be expecting YOUR email as a one time workaround?
We might wanna refrain from suggesting emailing them as a pat solution and stick with the process that you followed?
best regards

It is a relatively new feature of ASC; if you will familiarize yourself with the ToU, it is para. 13:
