Feb 12, 2014 6:31 AM in response to melissafromwest hartfordby QuickTimeKirk,It's happening to many of us that use an HD TV as a monitor.
Command, option and escape keys open the Force Quit menu. Quit and relaunch the apps.

It's a bug in Mavericks that Apple needs to fix. Annoying as all heck but patience is a virtue. 10.9.2 is at beta 5. Maybe someone can tell us if this has been addressed.

Mac OS XIt's a 10.9.3 bug, I reported it to a Sr. Apple representative on 5/25 at 2:30 p.m.
See my post https://discussions.apple.com/message/25903693?ac_cid=op123456#25903693

Sep 19, 2014 2:27 AM in response to Mike Retondoby eb303,If only… I've been hit by the bug just all the time since I switched to 10.9.3, I thought it would be an easy and quick fix since everything was working well in 10.9.2, so I've been waiting impatiently for 10.9.4. I was quite shocked when I saw it wasn't corrected there, since I knew it had been reported to Apple.
But now, not even corrected 2 versions later, I'm no more shocked, I'm disgusted. Apple doesn't seem to care about their Mac customers anymore.

Sep 19, 2014 7:25 AM in response to eb303by Mike Retondo,i couldnt have said it better myself. I have 5 users who are always logged in and its a really pain for 4 of them, my wife and young daughter especially.
BY the way,I was the one who reported this to Apple support.
