Sep 21, 2014 9:04 AM in response to Mauriziokpby Tristan Block,★Helpfulim in Canada on the Wind network with an iPhone 5, and I'm experiencing the same thing. I've updated to OS 8, have the LTE option turned on, but am still only showing 3G and it's rather slow compared to my previous phone (Moto G) which connected to LTE fine.
i did get a warning when I activated the LTE switch that it was currently unsupported, but I could still use it at my own discretion, so I'm wondering why it doesn't actually seem to turn on.

Sep 21, 2014 9:22 AM in response to Tristan Blockby Mauriziokp ,Yesterday I called Applecare and the answer was "Ask to Wind....". So I have called again Wind and the answer was "We're waiting to receive from Apple the update of the software for our systems ".
MY question now is why a Wind shop sold me for 10€ a new LTE nano sim? Which is the real truth?

Sep 21, 2014 12:34 PM in response to Mauriziokpby Tristan Block,After some more thorough reading, I've found the answers I was looking for my situation.
Wind, in Canada at least, doesn't actually have LTE yet. There is no point activating the LTE option on my iPhone because Wind hasn't implemented that network yet. They have HSPA+, which is faster than earlier 3G, but is still considered 3G, so that is why it shows up as 3G when I'm connected. I thought it would at least show H+, like my other phones do, but perhaps the iPhone doesn't have 'H+' as an option to display, so it just shows 3G.

Sep 21, 2014 12:43 PM in response to Tristan Blockby Mauriziokp ,Here in Italy is different as Wind a 4G network (not so spread as Vodafone and TIM) but this is not working with IPhone 5. Reading on the web it seems that Wind don't have the the frequency needed to work with iPhone 5.
