Dec 6, 2013 8:29 AM in response to LJ71by luvincountry,Thank you for taking the time to reply to me and help me out unfortunately that method did not work I cannot believe I went to Apple asked for their assistance and they said that my file was corrupted that the file was too large and they cannot remove it extracted from my iPhone so therefore it was trash... I could not even going to edit the file or trim it it showed that the file was there for 56 minutes but when I was going to view it would not allow me to trim something that he couldn't recognize the weirdest thing.. There's Apple for you!! Ugh!!

Dec 19, 2013 7:21 AM in response to luvincountryby Shoyur,My ipod touch 5 (latest 5) doesnt sync all memos, just some of them, random dates, random size, i can see it doesnt sync a 5min memo, and 18 min memo, BUT i synced a 2min, another 5min, and also synced a 32, 34 and more than 1hour memo........
I think ill try to force to remove backup and REbackup again..... dont know if thats possible.
I also found many other bugs with ITunes.
Apple is better than many other big companies for that kind of problem.
But still, its just good, not perfect AT ALL.
Reminds me of Windows, they work on Windows 10, but Windows 95 still has bugs.............
BOOOOOHHHHH !

This is how I solved the problem
1.Download application call iExplorer onto your MAC or PC
2.Connect iphone to your computer and launch iExplorer
3.On the lower left corner click "continue with demo"
4.Now it shows your iphone. Click "Files"
5.Click on "Media Folder"
6.Look for and click "Recording"
7.All voice memos will be there. Simply just drag and drop on your laptop or computer
Now I have all my memos onto my computer :-) Hope this helps

Apr 24, 2014 12:15 PM in response to anneravenby tmajestic,Yes I solved it with iExplorer. I had 140 voice memos that Apple couldn't recognize but iExplorer could. Apparently Apple needs to purchase third party software so someone who knows what they are doing can help them solve issues that have been around since 2010.
1. Download iExplorer
2. Do not drag it to applications
3. Open iExplorer run as demo
4. Go to Media Library and all your voice memos should be there. It will allow you to do 10 at a time. Then close the program and repeat the steps. Took me only like 10 minutes. No way I was going to trim every single voicemail by 1 second that is just stupid crazy. That would take me like 8 hours.

May 3, 2014 3:46 PM in response to tmajesticby aidnac,I just changed the genre of the file and then it synced over.
1. Connect your iphone to your computer
2. Let itunes perform a sync of your phone
3. Go to the phone details and go to "On this iPhone" (on the right side)
4. On the left side choose the Voice Memos playlist
5. After you locate your memo, right-click on it and choose "Get Info"
6. Click on the Info tab and change the Genre at the bottom (I changed it from Voice Memo to Other)
7. Perform a sync to move the voice memo over to itunes
Note: I did notice an extra copy of the voice memo showing in the list on my iPhone. This only appeared in itunes however. It may just be a ghost image, not sure what impact it will have on things later.

Sep 17, 2014 5:48 PM in response to anneravenby Demon2015,Yep... This is quite aggravating that this forum post even exists. Regardless, I found that snipping (creating a copy) of the files worked. I downloaded no extra software. Get it together Apple.

Sep 21, 2014 11:16 AM in response to anneravenby solobassface,Hi,
I'm also having this problem. Have upgraded to ios8 and still will not transfer memos. I have clicked the transfer voice memos box under music etc.... It seems that emailing the file is the only way to get them off. Any other tips?
This ***** APPLE!

Sep 24, 2014 11:31 AM in response to anneravenby cutemisanthrope,As I understood the problem iTunes doesn't sync the voice memos if all of them were created before the iTunes library was created. Probably this is why all this trimming and renaming things worked. I personally just unplugged the iPhone, recorded the new voice memo, connected and synced it again, and with this new record iTunes detected the old ones as well and finally successfully synced them all.
