Q: The server responded: “403” to operation CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation.

Since upgrading my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 and migrated to iCloud drive, I am getting the below error on my desktop (Mavericks 10.9.5) about once a every 2 seconds.  So far I have tried all of the following and nothing seems to work.

1. Turn of calendar syncing in iCloud and turn it back on.

2. Log out if iCloud and Log back in.

3. Log out of iCloud and Log back in using my primary apple id rather than my alternate.

4. Log out if iCloud, remove all preference files and Calendar directory from my mac, log back into iCloud and then launch calendar.

All of my appointments are syncing so I don't understand where this error could be coming from.  But since it pops up almost every 2 seconds its impossible to use the Calendar app.

The server responded:

“403”

to operation CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation.

I have the same issue on my iMac in work and mac book pro at home.  I've tried all the above, cleared caches etc... but no joy.

It also kicked in when I upgraded to Ios8 and iCloud drive

I also have this problem, contacted Apple and I'm still waiting on a reply. I have this problem on all of my macs (MacBook Pro 13" 2010 OSX 10.9.5., MacBook Pro 15" 2011 OSX 10.9.5 & Mac mini 2009 OSX 10.9.5.) so I know the problem is not on my mac. Also tried all the solutions but nothing works. It looks like the problem is on Apples servers...

I have started getting the same thing today. I have my wife's iCloud calendar showing up on my iMac at home 10.9.5 and work 10.7.5 and when I opened my calendar at work, it started popping up. If I click ignore, it comes up in a few second.

I have upgraded to 8.0 on my 5 and 5s and select iCould Drive, until I realized I could no longer access the cloud items from my iPad 1. So it is off (Yes I realize it is to late, but I can still get it with my iMac.)

My wife's calendar is fine on my iPad 1 and my new iPhone 6. Go Figure.

Oh, in looking around, I see that another thread attributed it to DST. iCalendar error message 403: access not permitted

    Temporary fix:

If you only need to view the calendar giving you problems, you can subscribe to the iCloud calendar.

Now, not being some great guru, I can only give you the basic and hope one of you knows more than me.

Sign on to the iCloud account of the calendar that is giving you the problem.

    On iCloud Calendar

Select the calendar you want to view

    Click on the share icon.

    Check public calendar

    Click email link

    Enter email address

    Click send

Open email account you sent it to

Open email: Subscribe to xxxxx "xxxxx xxxxx" calendar?

    Click subscribe to calendar

You should not have two sets of appointments from the calendar that was giving you trouble.

Disable the offending account iCal Preference>Accounts>select CalDAV account>uncheck "Enable this account" to remove the offending account.

NOTE: I tried the private share on my home iMac 10.9.5 but I still had the warning message after I uncheck "Enable this account". It also added

    duplicate items on my iphone.

I'm just wondering if the issue is with Family Sharing.  One of my family invited me to a shared family account which I accepted (but then deleted as didn't want to use their credit card for purchases).  However, when I open ICAL, the shared family calendar is there and I can't delete it!  When I do - it just reappears...

I am using family sharing too. Wonder how many others are using it.

You might have to have your fried delete you from his account to stop the calendar - just a thought.

For now, just open ical, and in the upper left click on calendars if they are not showing, Find the one called Family and uncheck it.

Also, did you check iCal Preference>Accounts to see if there is another calendar listed that you did not add? Select it and uncheck enable this account.

    Hope one of these helps

Oops, I guess if you subscribe public it also will double your iPhone/iPad calendar appointments. Sorry.

I also use family sharing and I have deleted my "family" calendar. After that the problems began. But there is no way to fix it.. Disabling family sharing and turning it back on doesn't work..

I deleted my family sharing account - however, there is a residual calendar remaining (a shared calendar that was created with family sharing) that remains.  I deleted it via ical but it kept reappearing.  I then deleted it in iCloud - it seems to be gone there but is still re-appearing in ICAL and on my mobile devices.

The 404 error also is continuing...

Yes so I also have family sharing turned on as well.  I tried to take this member out of the family and then back in but no go for me either.  I am convinced something is goofed on Apples servers with regards to the Family shared calendar.  Deleting that calendar does not work and problem continues.

I think Family Sharing itself is messed up. I also get the same 403 calendar error on my mac, and some of my family members have been forced to pay for apps that i already own that I am supposedly sharing!

I believe the developer has to make the app available for family sharing.

I saw a few article a couple of days back but of course cannot fine them now. When you look in the app story, there should be Family Sharing somewhere in the description.

But I did find this at Sharing purchased content with Family Sharing

    1. Open the store app that you want to download content from, and go to the purchased page:
      • App Store: Tap Updates > Purchased.
      • iTunes Store: Tap More > Purchased.
      • iBooks: Tap Purchased.
    2. Tap the family member's name to see their content. Learn what to do if you don’t see any content or can’t tap your family member.
    3. To download an item, tap the cloud icon next to it.

On your Apple TV, select Movies > Purchased > Family Sharing, then select your family member to see their content. You can access shared movies and TV shows on Apple TV, but not music.

I was able to delete my "family" calendar via iCloud.com. It took me 3 times but then it was back for good. Now even achter reenabling family sharing the "family" calendar won't come back..
