Sep 21, 2014 9:03 AM in response to staygold512by dianeoforegon,If you qualify for Mavericks you should qualify for Yosemite.
Apple has 2GB RAM for minimum requirement but I find this to be very low. I would recommend a minimum of 4GB but 8GB would offer a better experience.

Sep 22, 2014 6:36 AM in response to staygold512by staygold512,So there is some conflicting info here. I would also assume that Yosemite has at the same system requirements as Mavericks, but I'm wanting to stay away from assumptions. Can anyone link an article or developer information to back their answer?

Sep 26, 2014 6:32 AM in response to staygold512by staygold512,A friend looked it up on appleseed.apple.com the Yosemite seed/ Beta site and documented that the hardware looks the same for now from the Mavericks specs. but, software does state 10.9 or later for minimum requirements (no link you must signup to access info). I know this may change with the public release, however this does seem to be the most current info from Apple.
