Q: Issues with my 16GB Installed memory, PLEASE HELP!

ey people here are some issues I have been having with my macbook pro.

Here are the issues I had.

When I first purchased this computer in April 2012, while I was working on my mac book, the screen would go black for about 25 seconds, and then come back on for no apparent reason. I didn't think much of it at the time. It continued for few months, but not very often. When I installed windows parallel on, it would also do that. but I noticed in the status bar in windows that it said " network cable unplugged" after the screen went black. So I'm not sure if that was the issues.  So i decided to call Apple support before the warranty expired, and they took me through a few procedures, but ended up resolving nothing.  So back in July this year 2014, I bought the 16GB RAM upgraded kit for my mac from futureshop , 2 8GB sticks (Crucial), once i did this my mac starting to get the white screen of death, that says your computer as shutdown for unexpected reasons, and it has it in several different languages. I wasn't sure if the RAM was causing this. So i called apple again even though the warranty was expired, they decided the honor my warranty for the fact that I called then before, while warranty was still valid. So the Apple service tech, ran my diagnostics , and everything was ok. it continued to get this white screen of death, so the apple tech then had the logic board replaced. And I just got it back today. I copied a lot of my old files from my back up drive to my mac, then I closed my macbook for a few hrs, went to reopen it and it was extremely hot, hotter then I have ever seen it before, and i got the white screen of death again. So I'm not sure what going on with this computer, Do i have to put the OEM 4GB back in.

Any suggestions ? Should I just buy a new mac book or what. I didn't think Apple had these kinds of issues.

That sounds like that there was a kernel panic.  If it happens again, log it and post it for review:

    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2546

I would install the original RAM and see if there is any change.

    Perform SMC and PRAM resets:

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14222?viewlocale=en_US

Test you RAM using Rember from Kelley Computing:

    http://www.kelleycomputing.net/rember/

Run it overnight so that sufficient loops are executed.

    Run an Apple Hardware Test:

    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1509

Note that an error free AHT is not definitive.

    Try a Safe Boot:

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1564

    Ciao.

I fail to see any significant clues in the posted kernel panic report.

Your screen shot does not appear.  That is most likely a bug in the current forum software rather than any error on your part.  This is a problem that has been around for a while now.

    Ciao.

Today I can see the image you posted earlier.  That plus the latest kernel panic report have nothing contained that I can identify as problems.

    Ciao.

Have you reinstalled the original RAM?

What are the specs of the new RAM?

What model of MacBook Pro do you have?

That doesn't look like a complete kernel panic log - do you have any devices connected to your machine via any port (most particularly, though, a USB port)?

Hey Man no devices connected, i'm wondering if I should remove the crucial ram and out in the OWC RAM, its a big price to pay to replace it, because retailers don't refund RAM.

ever since I put in the RAM its been acting up. I cant remove the RAM until I get home, I'm away working for a few weeks.

Kernel panics can occur for a number of reasons:

In my initial response I gave a list of items that might help your situation, including reinstalling your original RAM.  You have not indicated if you have done any of them.  Some feedback from you might be helpful.

    Ciao.
