Sep 24, 2014 1:45 AM in response to Eric Toby léonie,TheEXIF tags are specific for the manufacturers and not unique, Eric. If the EXIF info is ambiguous, Aperture will make an educated guess and probably favour the lens by the same manufacturer as the camera.
You may want to send feedback about the wrong tags to Apple: Apple - Aperture - Feedback
You could change the EXIF yourself using exiftool, but it is risky and requires the Terminal, see this user tip: Modifying EXIF tags of Originals Using exiftool: camera, lens, gps

Sep 25, 2014 9:00 PM in response to léonieby Eric To,I would guess Aperture has not enough data base for lens (or updated). Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD was announced on Nov, 2013. It was bad to make a wrong educated guess. Wonder why Apple has given up Aperture.
