Q: Will an iPad 2 be upgradable to iOS 8?

I am thinking about getting a refurbished 2nd Gen. Will that be upgradable to iOS 8 when it comes out this Fall,

iOS 8 has made my ipad2 pretty slow. The keyboars also responses a bit weirdly.

Mine, too. I didn't notice an issue with the keyboard (I don't use it that much) but Netflix was awful laggy, some other apps, too.

I installed IOS 8 on my iPad 2 and it has become so slow it is almost unusable. 

Same here, keyboard is struggling, multi task screen takes about 3 seconds to generate, screen rotation is taking a while, apps crashing.  No issues with wifi connection, but it's definitely annoying.  Hopefully, when its own bugs are fixed, ios 8.0.1 will provide some relief.

I heard so many sad stories about upgrading such an old model that I have left mine running IOS 6.  Still works great!

In my case, it takes 5 seconds to open the next web page. One game app not working. Sokeone else installes it in iphone5 and said that it worked fiine there. But that was with 128GB.

Hi! I got a problem. After I update my Ipad to IOS 8 last week, I have a problem with updating my application. This affected to my 3 Ipad. Today IOS 8.0.2 out and I'm hoping that it can fix. But, unfortunately its still can be fix. Also the iphoto also can't support. What should I do?

8.0.2 took care of the Apps not updating issue. Mine are working as they should now.

ios 8 is a complete disaster for us iPad 2 users.

Why, oh why did I update my iPad 2 to the iOS 8 software update? I have an iPad 2 32 gig with the cellular data option and it has not acted right since the update. The iPad freezes constantly, apps freeze while in use and when closing them down. (Yes, I updated all my apps before I installed the iOS 8 software update.) The Safari web browser seems to be constantly in motion. When I want to scroll down a webpage, it will scroll up the page, my webpages freeze all the time. I was one of those who couldn't get on the Internet because my iPad would not connect to Wi-Fi but the iOS 8.0.2 seem to have fixed that issue. But the iOS 8.0.2 update did not fix the freezing apps, the freezing screen or fix the freezing when turning on the iPad from a turned off state. I hardly ever use my computer since I bought my iPad. Now there seems to be so many issues with the iPad 2 and the iOS 8 update that I fear my iPad 2 will become a brick. Apple please fix these issues because I love my iPad and cannot afford to purchase another one.
