Sep 27, 2014 1:58 AM in response to Taildragger-J3by DonnaMet,I Did the new update last night hoping my he I would work this morning and unfortunately it still says does not support! So frustrating I wish I had gone with my instinct and bought the Samsung tablet instead but my kids insisted we go down the Apple route because it's the best technology in the word!!!!!!! Really! So disappointed and feeling ripped off when the iPad air cost so much money. I have tried all the suggestions about putting iPad on full screen first, switching tv off etc and nothing works

Sep 28, 2014 2:33 AM in response to Nodge22by NicolasiPhone4,I´ve got the same problem here, I've got 2 iPad 2 (mine and my wife's) that used to work with the same hdmi cable adapter, I've updated my iPad to iOS8 and now the adapter is not recognised. I try with my wife's iPad (stil on iOS 7) to see if by any concourse of circumstances the adapter started to not working or getting loose exactly after upgrading iOS...and guess what it is still recognised by is one. Thanks Apple for not proof testing your upgrade, next time I'll wait a month or two before jumping on any iOS upgrade. I must say that I'm quite disappointed, I used to do these upgrade with my eyes closed, now I'll think twice before clicking on update...

Sep 28, 2014 2:41 AM in response to NicolasiPhone4by Jodee1982,i have updated to iOS 8.0.2 and it still doesn't work! I went into the apple store as I was passing and apparently reverting back to iOS 7 is no longer an option. Not happy! Genius bar appointment on Monday but I doubt they'll be able to help. The guy in the apple store knew nothing of the problem. Everyone should report the bug otherwise I doubt it'll be fixed. The adapter I have is generic but worked fine before so I won't be purchasing an apple one. and I definitively won't be updating in future auntie I've read about all the problems and made sure they're fixed!!

Sep 29, 2014 3:36 AM in response to Taildragger-J3by Scotts62,Hi All, I have a solution, do not wait for apple to fix this issue go Wireless.
I bought £25 Google Chromecast and now I can cast(watch) Netflix, BBC IPlayer, YouTube videos, Blinkbox, my IPAD photos ( you need an IOS app for that), Facebook, browse the web (IOS chrome browser) wirelessly from my IPAD2 and no need to get up from the sofa.
One step closure to getting off my reliance on Apple products.
Thanks
Scott

Sep 29, 2014 6:38 AM in response to Scotts62by uppa,We have chromecasts at school but, although I have the chromecast app, I cannot project from the chrome browser: the icon that appears in youtube isn't there in chrome, how did you do it? There's another app called EZcast (for the EZcast dongle but that works with chromecast as well) has a built-in browser but it isn't very reliable. Thanks!

Sep 29, 2014 9:09 AM in response to Nothappynomoreby Jodee1982,WWent to the Genius bar today andApple's own adapter worked.....so it's obviously a problem with the generic one now. Probably on purpose! I'm not paying £35 for an Apple adapter so I'll wait and see if a generic one comes out that is compatible with ios 8.
