Q: I bought a macbook air yesterday and the thunderbolt update does not support my new mac

I purchased a new mac among with the thunderbolt to gigabit adaptor and now i tried to install the thunderbolt update on my new mac and it says that it is not supported on my mac.

MacBook Air, i have not updated to OSX 10.9.5
