I do know that on the 29th of September, there were some issues with people tying to access their iCloud data. When you are having issues with accessing anything that Apple provides as a service or a store, check the first link to see if to see if any issues that could be preventing access. If you are still having issues currently, check with the second article to get it sorted out.

Oct 4, 2014 10:14 PM in response to iinamiby jjay91,Delete your icloud account from your iphone, choose "Keep on My iPhone" for iCloud Safari data, reminders, calendars, and Contacts, sign into it again, and select "Merge" your data. That worked for me when I was having verification issues on my ipad 2 last week, however, I am still using 7.1.2.
Also, I have 2 step verification enabled. After I signed in, I had to verify my iPhone by typing the code that I was sent.
I think the problems have to do with iCloud's new security, not necessarily the 8.02 update.
