Oct 1, 2014 11:13 AM in response to NaughtyAppleby Ralph Landry1,You need to start the MacBook holding the C key so you boot to the DVD with the original Mac OS X installer. Then after going through the questions and answers part, you need to go to Utilities and select Disk Utility. Select the internal hard drive, usually named Macintosh HD.
After highlighting the HD, select either Erase or Partition from the buttons top center of the main window pane.
After erasing the hard drive, now you can select Install Mac OS X.

Oct 1, 2014 11:20 AM in response to Ralph Landry1by NaughtyApple,Hi Thanks for replying.
As mentioned before I only get as far as choosing the language. I do not get to the part where I'm asked other questions, so I can not answer any questions.
Thanks.

Oct 1, 2014 11:23 AM in response to NaughtyAppleby Ralph Landry1,It should just ask for the language and then you are on the desktop for the DVD installer...go to Utilities on the menu bar, or if that does not show, go to Finder, Applications, Utilities and select Disk Utility.
