Q: Anyones health kit app stop working?

I went to bed last night and everything was tracking fine between my Healthkit app and myfitnesspal app. I had 5 or 6 things pinned to my dashboard. I woke up and it is all gone.. Nothing is pinned to my dashboard and when I swipe to put it on my dashboard and press back it still isn't there and I go back in and it is switched off. I click on the Show all data and it does the spiny thinking icon forever and won't populate. But my steps I think are still being calculated in myfitnesspal. I have killed all open apps, soft restart, hard restart and nothing has fixed it. I have the iPhone 6 64gb ATT with the os and all apps updated.

iPhone 6, iOS 8

The post with the MFP solutions definitely made me feel better because I was experiencing all of them.  As long as they are aware of them I feel good that they will get worked out quickly.

I do have a problem with the Health app crashing, or showing a blank screen.  I don't think that has anything to do with MFP.  I have also tried to add steps to the step counter manually, and I never get credit for the steps.

The temporary fix that apple provided worked for me, they state that it'll be addressed with the next update

So it seems like the earlier fix of restarting my phone is only a patch. Less than half a day later it did it to me again and I had to restart twice for it to fix itself. So it's definitely something wrong with some software on Apple's side I think.

Same issue here also......I switched back to Apple from Samsung Galaxy s4. I have had nothing but problems. Ipad runs extremely slow, HealthKit still not working, facebook runs so cruddy, and I paid for the phone....shame on me!  I wonder if they will fix things right!

Worked for me.  Make sure you hold on to the Home and Power button until to see the Apple Insignia reappear.

Yup soon after I updated to 8.0.2, I thought I had lost all my data. All the graphs that were pinned to the main screen were gone and when I tried to re-pin them, they still wouldn't show. A day later all my data popped up again. Shortly after it all disappeared. Its been doing this on and off stint for the past few days. Sometimes it's working and other times it's not. It still collects data even when its not showing any graphs but I dont know whats going on. 8.0.2 must be buggy. Hope Apple has a solid fix for this soon.

I've experience this problem too this day, I reinstalled moves app, to see if its integrated with the health app, suddenly all my data are loss, even all the dashboards I set up. So I just restarted my phone and it magically fixed everything back to normal.

my health app works but the data is completely wrong.  It doesn't count cycling data and seems to read cycling as walking.  Which makes the app useless.  I haven't walked anywhere today but it's showing me as walking 14km.  I've only cycled and didn't do 14km.  I've got the "new improved" motion co processor too (iphone 6).   Siri no longer reads my messages either which is weird. we need another iOS update or that ridiculous "watch"

Just an update* I have done the hard reset and that has helped.. I just had to make sure I held both buttons until the apple disappeared. Once I had to restart twice to fix it. That seems to have just been a bandaid as it came back again. I did apples suggestion of opening the app walking around for a minute and then restarting and that helped. Its stayed on so far but I feel it is only a matter of time until it comes back....

HI here is what i found, can you see if yours is doing the same issue. I found that what the healthkit app was reporting was not matching what i was logging in my fitness pal As far as calories, protein, carbs etc, anything i had displaying on my dashboard in the health app seemed magnified..so i went into the health app, then clicked on health data, then click on nutrition then pick dietary calories, then click on show all data, on my screen it shows multiple entries for breakfast multiple entries for lunch and dinner. So its duplicating sometime triplicating my entries from my fitness pal..so i don't know if its a myfitnesspal problem or a healthkit problem and i cant get anyone on either end to,listen to me.

    is anyone else seeing this?
