1st, we here are not Apple employees but users like you - therefore we cannot speak for Apple and in fact are forbidden to even speculate as specified in the Apple Support Communities Use Agreement - believe me, there are some here that are real sticklers about that document. 2nd, in the ToU, it expressly forbids "polls", which this type of post could clearly be defined as... "did anyone else get..." - implicitly lookin for a tally = poll.

Now to address your specific question, "How does that help?" - I figured that the Original Poster might benefit from the Published Apple documents on the iCloud subject, which is gonna be all Apple is gonna have to say on the issue publicly.

Since 25GB seems to be an Upgrade storage capacity - $$/year or month - you can address your questions concerning your business with them - you could try the Store Group - Contact Us - Apple Support - this might appear to be iTunes related, but it is the path to real Apple contact regarding all things $$.

    best regards

well I'm glad you're a user helping another user like me but I also see nothing wrong in what he asked, if he didn't then I'm assuming that he wouldn't have gotten the response you gave and felt like he might have been the only one, and yes i did take the issue up with apple and secondly,  saying "I figured that the Original Poster might benefit from the Published Apple documents on the iCloud subject, which is gonna be all Apple is gonna have to say on the issue publicly" makes me wonder, are we suppose to sit and accept everything those guys do or say? i had the battery problem with my iPhone 5 and for months and constant complains, nothing, finally they did a recall to look into the issue, if we don't say whats on our minds they won't know what we want, according to cook himself, " We started with the user, and we said, “What do they really want?” and by what I've been hearing thus far this tiered stuff isn't one of them, i know i have choices and thats great and all but i miss steve, apple has lost control, like a car whose driver has well you get what I'm saying...

User to user. Apple doesn't read the Forum. If you want change fillout the form below.

I personally have no problem with the Original Post either. Apparently the Hosts(moderators) are being a bit lenient, as they generally are when a change takes place. Changes are always unannounced - Steve Jobs was big on playing cards close to the vest and seems that has carried on after his untimely demise.

We all have had issues where the response is not what we wished for. This forum is not like the normal, free-wheeling bulletin boards you may be used to. It is not a forum for complaints - especially since Apple employees take no active part, generally - you have to look pretty hard to find a status designation of "Host" and a little less hard for "Community Specialist".

In a case such as yours, you will likely get the opportunity to grouse... for a while.

I think you will find that Apple has adhered to the letter of the iCloud Terms of Use Agreement document to which you implicitly or explicitly agreed to when signing up for iCloud.

I cannot explain nor understand the way Apple has chosen to implement its new rollout stuff... but when you think about it, the GUI was a real hard sell at the beginning... look at us now, all GUIed out. I have been an Apple product user fro nigh on three decades. I have seen many things that were free  become a revenue stream in that period, so i am not surprised to see Apple take advantage of an opportunity to convert to a profitable product. They are, after all, beholden to their shareholders first and foremost.

I miss Steve too, but do your homework... he was the instigator of the secrecy policy upon his return to Apple. Innovator, futurist, capitalist. You might say that Apple is a tad less so since his shuffling this mortal coil, but... it is what it is.

YES! I talked to a Sr. iCloud Specialist and he told me there was nothing he could do and it was my fault that the information was incorrect (which it wasn't).

I'm so livid about this, because I lost my backups AND the opportunity to keep the 25GB a year which was a sweet spot for me, because 20 was just not quite enough, and 200GB a year was way too much, and no I don't care that it's a better value.

same here. there was no time to reverify my credit card details (and I did not see a reason to do so as I received a partial reiumbursement two weeks earlier on the same card). Spoke with two (German) customer service agents who wanted to help, but couldn't/did not have the authority to do so. At the end I was transferred to a senior agent (GS) who got really cocky telling me that it was my own fault and how people like me dare to complain considering that "we" (Apple) just slashed the prices of the iCloud storage plan. Sad but true...
