Sep 29, 2014 4:36 PM in response to Taildragger-J3by Penopoly,I'm having the same problem. I connect my iPad to the TV for our business, and it's hard to run some of our classes without our reward system from a website on the TV. Hopefully this problem is solved soon!!!!

Oct 2, 2014 1:32 PM in response to Penopolyby VincesiPad3,I should had read this thread before I upgrade iOS 8.0.2 on my iPad 3....
My generic HDMI adapter was working perfectly on my iPad running iOS 7.1.2 until couple days ago when I update my iPad to 8.0.2.
Now when I connect the adapter to the unit, it will display " this accessory is not supported with this iPad"; and there is no signal on my TV screen.
Any solution, news update for this issue yet? Please update us while we "patiently" waiting for a fix. :-(

Oct 2, 2014 3:04 PM in response to VincesiPad3by Faithjake,I Don't think there will be a fix, a lot of us think this has been a deliberate attempt to prevent users buying third party equipment as the official Apple lead still works. Blatant corporate control.

Oct 2, 2014 3:15 PM in response to Taildragger-J3by Faithjake,It would seem that the issue with the lead is a deliberate attempt to stop those who own their phone using third party add ons, as the official Apple lead seems to work but any will not be recognised. I would like apple to answer this point..Apple has there been a deliberate attempt to stop users from having a choice of supplier for their add-ons?
IF the answer in no, then please work on a fix.
IF the answer is yes, then shame on you, not only is there a world full of obsolete items, what a waste of resources but how dare waste your customers money and take away their choice.
eagerly awaiting a response

Oct 2, 2014 3:26 PM in response to Faithjakeby Jodee1982,Faithjake, I totally agree! If this is deliberate, which I think it might be, it's just ridiculous! Just like when they changed the iPhone 5 so it doesn't fit any of the previous chargers or docks. I only bought the lead 3 weeks ago and now it doesnt work. There are already lots of cables for sale on sites stating that they don't work on iOS 8. What a waste!! Do Apple not make enough money already without trying to force us to buy £35 adapters when we can get a generic one for about £7?! Hopefully they will make a generic one soon that works on 8 or Apple do the decent thing and bring out an update to fix this. Either way I will not be purchasing an Apple adapter.

Oct 2, 2014 5:21 PM in response to Jodee1982by biff6981,SAme here, Apple cable stopped working as soon as I updated to IOS8. There are also hundreds of businesses selling cables which now won't work on IPads Grrr. I have registered feedback with Apple, mwho knows, if enough people do it maybe there will be a fix, one of the reasons I bought my iPad was to be able to watch things on TV. Now it's nearly useless

Oct 2, 2014 5:24 PM in response to VincesiPad3by biff6981,MIne too, my iPad2 says "accessory not supported by this device" as soon ad I updated to IOS8. I have spent a lufetime trying to soove this, my cable is Apple, I've rebooted, reset etc Grrr. Now I have sent Feedback to Apple, if enough people do it maybe they will bring out a fix! One of the reasons for the iPad is to be able to mirror it in TV.

Oct 3, 2014 6:27 AM in response to Taildragger-J3by Victor Bart,I have the same problem. I worked with Apple help for about 4 hours before the power in my neighborhood went out and I lost contact with Apple help.
My question after finding this blog is WHY doesn't Apple help know about this and stop wasting everyone's time doing so many things that don't work. I was even told by the Apple help person that my adapter may need a software upgrade to work wit Ver.8.0.2. I told him that I didn't think it had software in it, but he told me there is a chip in the end that has two plug holes in it. After I lost the Apple help and my power came back I spent a lot of time searching for a "Patch" for my adapter, didn't find anything.

Oct 3, 2014 9:45 AM in response to Taildragger-J3by Penopoly,I think they are just having problems with it and don't want to admit it. Or they made it so with the new update it's not compatible and they don't want to admit it's their fault.

Oct 3, 2014 9:49 AM in response to Penopolyby Penopoly,If my iPhone and iPad don't work with third party devices, then there is no point in getting stuff from apple. The only reason I use apple products is I know how they work and it's really easy to use everything because I've had their products for a long time. However, I could easily learn how to use a new phone from a different company. If Apple stops working with third party devices, then it makes their products more difficult to use and therefore, having an apple product is no different from learning a new product that works with other devices.

Oct 3, 2014 8:57 PM in response to realtwangby angelkinz,I can't even submit my feedback...there's no button to click to send it. Lol This is getting frustrating. I'm having the HDMI issue. My new iOS is 10.9.5...for the feedback, that isn't even an option yet. :-/

Oct 3, 2014 9:05 PM in response to pmlaroucheby angelkinz,Still nothing for me. My TV monitor is black and I can see it trying to do something at the very top while the HDMI is connected. When I unplug the HDMI the screen goes back to "No Signal".
