Q: Spurious "Your iCloud password for <myemail>@me.com is incorrect" error
All of a sudden, I am intermittently seeing a dialog that says "Your iCould password for <myemail>@me.com is incorrect. Please ensure that you are entering the correct password for your iCloud account." The dialog contains an entry field for the password. When I type in the CORRECT password, it rejects it and shows me the dialog again.
Meanwhile, I'm having no problem with iCloud other than this dialog. Mail is coming and going just fine, calendars are shared between my Mac and my iPhone, etc. So as far as I can tell this dialog is completely spurious. Also there is no question that I am typing in the correct password. I just signed out of iCloud and signed back in on my Mac, without any problem, using the same password that this dialog is rejecting. I can also use that same password to log into iCloud on the web.
I'm wondering if this is some bug related to the fact that I recently turned on two factor authorization.
Anyone have any ideas??
Thanks,
Gary
