Q: iPhone 6 is not working for calls with uconnect?

I cleared all devices on the my uconnect and then I paired with my iPhone 6.  I was able to play music through the bluebooth.  When I make a call, I start it through the uconnect. It will search the address book, dial out, but then after the first ring, it says call completed. When in fact, the call is still active on my phone.  I also tried to start a call from my iPhone and that still did not work. The uconnect did not pick up the fact that I started a call.

I know it is not an iOS 8 issue because I was able to use my iPhone 5 with iOS 8 without issues.

    "Other issues"? You obviously only commute back and forth to work. I'm in sales and have to constantly work out of my vehicle, so as I said, I'm not calling customers from my vehicle as a result of this glitch, but the people calling me constantly don't care if I'm in my vehicle or not, and when I don't answer (as a rule now), customers get upset. Your missing my entire point, so I'll lay it out for you again;

A.) I may be a responsible driver, but there are plenty of people out there who definitely are not. Living in the NYC metro area, I have seen my fair share of accidents, and people are still constantly texting and drive, and this glitch is just as bad. Just two weeks ago I got rear ended while completey stopped at a STOP LIGHT, resulting in $5,000 worth of damage, and an injury to my shoulder. Guess what? The guy was fumbling around with his phone, and didn't see me till it was too late. The point is, I'm not worried about me, it's everybody else that concerns me.

B.) Again, why didn't Apple work with the car companies to at least make sure the iOS was compatible at launch, as many other app developers did? On the flip side; the car companies knew a new iOS was coming; why didn't they make sure on their end and push out an update before the release?

This his has been poorly handled and sooner or later someone will get hurt unless a patch comes soon. If something bad happens, the lawsuits will start (we all know how lawsuit crazy the U.S. gets) and all the bad publicity that goes along with it.

I was able to fix mine.  I did, in this order (I have a Jeep Patriot - but don't think that matters)

    1. Deleted phone pairing from phone
    2. Deleted paring in vehicle
    3. Hard reset on iPhone 6
    4. Re-paired the phone w/vehicle

I had tried every other way before this, including the above but in different order -- including network reset, restore phone, resetting the Uconnect, spending time on the phone w/UConnect trying to help me fix.  None of that worked.  I thought I was a lost cause until I tried this, last resort, in that order.

Someone on the Jeep Forum I follow suggested that the hard reset does the trick, along with the deleting and repairing.

I was so happy to see your post, because I thought maybe it was just the order, but this didn't work for me

I feel very frustrated to my iphone6+. I CAN'T use my phone as a phone. I can't call to other person most of the time. Even I can't get the calls from others.

Yes, sometimes it works. However, most of the time  it doesn't work. To call somebody when I want to call, I have to turn off the phone and then, turn on the phone. I need to turn off the power at least 6~7 times a day to call .

I updated iOS8.02. It becomes worse. Internet connection? I don't want to talk about it . Is this a problem of iOS8 or is my phone a lemon?

I have some friends who have same problems with me. How about you guys?

I have a 2013 Town & Country and I'm having the same problem.  Tried each fix listed above and still no luck.  Phone now rings through 2 times instead of 1 time and saying "call complete."  I'm at a loss - thinking about taking my iPhone 6 back and staying with my iPhone 5S - at least that one allows me to drive and talk more safely.  UGH!

Same thing, can't make or receive calls via Bluetooth on the iPhone 6 using uConnect 8.4A in a 2014 Ram.  Worked just fine with the iPhone 5 prior to upgrading to the iPhone 6.  It still sends texts to the uConnect to be read aloud, but no phone calls.  Not sure if its iOS 8.0.2 or uConnect.  Hope it gets fixed ASAP.  Also, this:

Apple needs to enable two way Bluetooth MAP on the **** iPhones so we can use our vehicles to reply to texts.

I have a 2005 Pacifica with Connect.  Got my iphone6 19 Sep and paired it no problem. I did the first 8.1.1 update- no problem.  Then Thanksgiving weekend I updated to 8.1.2 big mistake. My husband disconnected the battery to the car for five minutes and it reset the UConnect.  It worked for a day. Big Disappointment since I really like Uconnect.

Thanks immy10. I was just about to update my phone to 8.1.2 but I think I will hold off for awhile.

Is there anyone else out there that has lost the Uconnect connection since doing the latest update?

I updated to ios 8.1.2 and now I have major issues with Uconnect.  Calls are made and recevied but once I "end" the call my Iphone 5s shuts down and goes black.  It eventually comes back up after holding the power button for awhile.  I had TMobile swap out the phone and new phone did it the first time I tried to dial.  No more Bluetooth in car basically.  Very disappointing, the feature worked perfect for the first 6 months in my New 2014 Jeep until I update the software.

Any word on when a real fix will occur?

Update. I had to disconnect the battery again and clear the settings plus repair the iphone6 but it seems to be holding the Uconnect.

I have a 2015 Dodge Journey and my IPhone 6 works fine with calls.  Its the text messaging feature that is greyed out.  I have read alot of threads and all are saying to turn on Notification on the Uconnect on the phone blue tooth section.  I don't have that option for turning on notifications.  My wife had a 2013 Honda Civic that connected no problem and recently just bought a 2015 Toyota Camary that connected fine, she did have to turn on notifications for that one to work.  I know its different software then in the dodge, but come on Iphone does not work.  The feature does work when I pair my sons Galaxy S4.  Is it a Uconnect Issue or Iphone 6 issue??.. I phone does have the Message Access Profile.  Please help very frustrating.... Also when I call Uconnect they say that apple does not use Message Access Profile, they must if it work on Different Models.

I had it working just fine with the IPhone 6, until my son plugged his auxiliary cord in when I was receiving a call through Uconnect on my Jeep Patriot, but now none of the Uconnect or Voice Command isn't working at all now.
