Oct 4, 2014 7:23 AM in response to samfromquebecby MTtoy,So instead of taking steps to solve the problems with iOS 8, Apple has chosen the route of making downgrading impossible. Gotta love Apple's "we don't care what you want to do with our devices; you're going to do what we want you to with them” attitude.
A quote: "UPDATE, 29th September: Apple has now stopped 'signing' or authorising iOS 7. This means the method of downgrading from iOS 8 back to iOS 7 listed below no longer works. We will update this article if we discover a new method that will let you reinstall iOS 7, but in the mean time the safest bet is to assume that updating your iPhone or iPad to iOS 8 is an irreversible process. Make sure you are absolutely certain you want to upgrade to iOS 8 before doing so."
Great usage of their time. Perhaps this issue could be resolved if they spent a little more of their resources patching their software and a little less effort on their Gestapo policies.
<Link Edited By Host> Really? I can't link to an article on a site called "macworld"? Gestapo forums for a Gestapo company. Anyway, just Google "downgrade to ios 7" if you want to see some articles on the topic.

Oct 4, 2014 1:52 PM in response to MTtoyby Street_Rod,Have the same problem since iOS 8. AirPrint is not working any longer on iPhone5, 5S and iPad Air in combination with a Samsung M2675 MFP. I bought this printer mainly for using airprint. Now it is useless for me. With iOS 7 everything worked fine on all devices. Apple has to fix, not the printer manfactures.
If this issue will really be ignored by apple, they really deserve a "#printgate"...
greetings from germany
and BTW: why are these forums not optimized for mobile devices???? ***?

Oct 4, 2014 10:08 PM in response to Micke-49by Micke-49,HERE IS ONE SOLUTION TO THE AIRPRINT PROBLEM I HAVE FACED:
Disable Wi-Fi Networking Services
Many users have reported that they’ve solved their issues by disabling Wi-Fi Networking under Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services. This only relates to your location being used for Wi-Fi Networking, so it doesn’t disable Wi-Fi entirely.
This and other tips where found on http://www.iphonehacks.com/2014/09/fix-ios-8-wifi-problems.html
I DID THIS AND IMMEDIATELY MY PRINTER WS FOUND TO BE PRINTED AT.

Oct 7, 2014 11:16 AM in response to samfromquebecby Mimajkpg,Hi, I had the same problem with ios 8, but I solved it by just reboot my iphone so it worked. Reboot is done by holding both the power button and the menu button down until the phone reboots and you see the apple symbol, then you can release both buttons.

Oct 7, 2014 11:47 AM in response to SueMacby kachina200,I have the same printer and could print from both my iPads and my iPhone 5
I have an iPhone 6 now and it won't find my printer

Oct 8, 2014 5:11 PM in response to samfromquebecby bluetubes,Yup. Me too. My Epson XP 810 was working fine with my iPad before I IOS 8.0.2. Now I can't print from Safari because it can't find the printer. How the heck could apple put out an update with something as basic as printing not working! It's inconceivable!

Oct 8, 2014 11:24 PM in response to samfromquebecby cypressdrive,I was puzzled as to why my iPad Mini 2 wasn't seeing either of my printers (Epson WF-3540 and Samsung M3320nd) when my iPhone 5S was seeing both. I was trying to print from Notes to avail. I rebooted my iPad, my router, my printers. Still nothing. I decided to try another app. I went into Mail and the printers showed up right away. I flipped back to Notes and sure enough the printers were now showing up. Is it is a long term fix? Hope so.

Oct 9, 2014 1:28 PM in response to samfromquebecby sancysplace,I had a problem printing from iPad after downloading iOS 8 and after calling the printer manufacturer, we unplugged everything, printer, router, powered off the iPad. Turned it all back on. It's working fine.

Oct 9, 2014 9:09 PM in response to Cape Annby unsolidstate,I have the HP Envy - and I've not experienced any printing problem before this and the ipad 4 is my 3rd ipad.
Tonight I wanted to print something from Pages. All it shows are "social networking" type destinations. Thrills. No printer. HOWEVER.... Mail and Notes work PERFECTLY so I have to wonder if part of this if not all of this is the apps themselves? I hope my AppleCare is still good for a phone call tomorrow. It's great that Mail and Notes print fine, though as noted in another message it takes a little patience for the print job to be sent; but it is NOT GREAT (bad Apple) that their own Pages won't print.

Oct 9, 2014 10:26 PM in response to unsolidstateby unsolidstate,I'm replying to my own message but wanted to add a very happy note - Pages prints fine, it was "third time is a charm" - and now it works every time and curiously the time from print to actual printing seems to be about half that of Mail and Notes. Either way this is good news. Sometimes the dialog boxes that open up to select "print" are cutting off the line at the bottom of the box, but it works anyway.
I really want a few other apps to print as well, and will do some more troubleshooting tomorrow - maybe - don't want to "break" it as everything works now (OK, that's not really true, for example the "MY FORD" app crashes as soon as a magazine edition is chosen for download, and a few other apps should print but don't. The "Hankwriter" by Tom Hanks (emulates an old-fashioned type-bar typewriter) crashes to the desktop when attempting to print.

Oct 10, 2014 3:53 AM in response to samfromquebecby NickCoote,There is a new Samsung firmware download available on the Samsung website, at least for the C460W printer. I've just installed it and it has solved the AirPrint problem with iOS8! The only downside is that the firmware version is only for Microsoft PC's; there's no Mac version as yet, and no native file that you can add in the firmware update menu of Samsung's pass-thru page in EasyPrint Manager. I fired up an old PC, connected it to the printer with a USB cable, and it worked like a charm. There's no need to configure the printer to work on the PC in order to do this update.

Oct 12, 2014 2:55 PM in response to NickCooteby samfromquebec,Problem Solved !!
Thanks Nick for the advice, not geting any feedback from Apple, as usual, i had wrote to Samsung about the airprint problems, they gave me a feedback mentioning they were going to look into it and they did.
For averybody having problems with their printer and airprint, my suggestion is to ask help from the printer manufacturer, don't rely on Apple to help you out, a simple comment, good or bad from Apple would always be encouraging.
Thanks everybody for charing your comments and good luck !
Sam from Québec City.
