Oct 8, 2014 6:41 PM in response to Pru2013by GlobalTraveler,These solutions only solve the problem for websites that do not "request the password not be saved".
In IOS7 there was a setting Settings -> Safari -> Passwords & Autofill -> Always Allow
This could set to On and user ids/passwords would also be saved for websites requesting that it not be saved. In essence allowing the user to decide what to save instead of the website. Personally that makes sense. I am perfectly able to decide for myself the risk/reward of storing this information.
Why did Apple remove this feature and does anyone know a work around?
Thanks

Oct 12, 2014 12:54 PM in response to Stylstby jenrowsell,Thank you! That was driving me nuts and this was the issue. So weird. Siri was also set to off after the update and I was wondering why she stopped working all of a sudden. You think it'd remember your settings like os x does.

Oct 17, 2014 2:36 PM in response to Pru2013by Berbyq,I've been struggling with this too and finally got it to work.
Settings/icloud/keychain
-turn keychain off but save the passwords on your device.
-hold down the power button until it powers down.
- Restart the device.
Settings/iCloud/keychain
-turn keychain on
-if you have multiple devices attached to the same iCloud account one of your other devices will have to allow this device, using the iTunes password.
I hope I've explained this properly because I tried so many times, I might be confused lol.

Nov 7, 2014 5:31 AM in response to Pru2013by paulo.grego,I think people are mixing things up here.
The real problem is when you enter a website and the username/password fields load empty, so you must hit a text box and then click "Autofill" on the keyboard.
iOS 7 used to load all websites already with username/password filled.
That bug added a few extra clicks that's so annoying! More annoying because iOS 7 worked fine!
Come on Apple, do something!

Nov 20, 2014 9:46 AM in response to smith.bonitaby Hewett Ent,NO the solution is NOT simple!!!!! I WISH I NEVER UPDATED NOR GOT NEW IPHONES, IPAD, AND MAC. NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. And YES, ALL my setting are correct, double and triple checked!!!!
The NEW piece of JUNK iPhone 6 as well as my 4s (updated) will not fill in the login & password with the key chain. Before 8.0 no problem, I have several FB accounts type in the first letter of the login and BAM autofill, same with my several Yahoo and Google account.
NOW, **** NO, you have to type in the whole login name and password. I have hundreds of passwords and logins for accounts.
WHAT THE **** IS GOING ON WITH YOUR KEY CHAIN, PEOPLE??????????????

Nov 20, 2014 9:58 AM in response to Pru2013by Ralph9430,iOS 8 changed the way autofill works. Some sites will fill automatically. but others require that you tap in the text entry to bring up the keyboard. At the top of the keyboard there will be an option to fill the name and password. Tap on that. Then tap on Sign in or whatever button the site has for login.

Nov 20, 2014 10:26 AM in response to Mnkbsnssby Hewett Ent,Been there done that. For eample I have four FB accounts. Prior to 8.0. I was able to type one letter in the login and keychain filled it all in, NOW if I want to change accounts I have to type it all in. If you hit autofill it fills in with the last account. Idiot programers to change what was working fine!
