Q: Can I recover a photo book lost by migrating to ios8

i created a 70 page photo book with 141 photos and text. None of this information is available after upgrading to iOS 8.

There is no hope to recover your book. I see no silver lining of hope, that Apple will correct this in the near future.

You would have to downgrade your device to iOS 7 again, to be able to run iPhoto again. But Apple made it impossible to downgrade by no longer signing the firmware installers. So you would have to setup a different device that not yet has been upgraded to iOS 8 and install iPhoto there.
