Oct 16, 2014 8:46 PM in response to Top Skittlerby rkaufmann87,Check with Adobe to see if CS5 can run in Yosemite, if it ran in Mavericks it should but you should always update your apps prior to updating your OS.

Oct 17, 2014 5:31 AM in response to rkaufmann87by Top Skittler,I did check, with Roaring Apps, and it says it runs without any problem. I did the Java upgrade and that didn't help either. I seem to remember this was a problem with Mavericks, but can't remember what had to be done to make it work.

Oct 17, 2014 8:08 AM in response to rkaufmann87by SULiik,Adobe doesn't care about you unless you are CC subscriber (I asked them on Twitter and they are not going to officially test CS5- on Yosemite apparently). I'm running CS5.1 on Yosemite without any problems so far.

Oct 17, 2014 8:21 AM in response to SULiikby Top Skittler,It seems a lot of people are running it without a problem, just seems to be me that has this issue at the moment, I have just got CS5, but I need it and can't afford the stupid leasing system they now have. I just want the product I paid for to work, or I will have to find a similar system that I can simply buy and use, not pay out for every year!
I had this when Mavericks came out and it was sorted, something to do with Java, but can't remember what...

Nov 24, 2014 12:38 PM in response to Top Skittlerby colinfromhornby island,Reinstall Java direct from the Apple web site, then reboot twice, and see if that cures the problem. It did for me with CS3.
