Oct 16, 2014 8:56 PM in response to brandonhayby babowa,I don't know how Apple handled the public beta distribution, but check your Purchases and Updates sections at the app store - it should be in one or both. Also, I've downloaded a full OS installer even though i had it installed - I got the popup telling me that I had it and I chose to download it anyway.

Oct 16, 2014 9:21 PM in response to brandonhayby babowa,It is showing in both areas in the app store for me even though I have it installed already; as I said, I don't know how Apple handled the public beta release, so you might need to contact Apple to find out if you are not able to follow my link and simply download it from the app store (not Purchases or Updates).
Edit: I just followed the link I posted, the app store opened and is showing it ready for download on the main page:

Oct 17, 2014 4:05 AM in response to brandonhayby putnik,Because the beta builds left their installer in the Applications folder, App Store thinks you have Yosemite already. I had to delete the old installer before the new one would download.

Oct 17, 2014 8:33 AM in response to putnikby brandonhay,How would I go about uninstalling the beta version
-
Oct 17, 2014 8:37 AM in response to brandonhayby babowa,As putnik said, the installer may be in the Applications folder - delete that and then try again.

Oct 17, 2014 8:42 AM in response to babowaby brandonhay,There was no option for uninstall or delete in the applications folder
I threw it in the trashcan and emptied it and it still won't let me download it

Oct 17, 2014 8:52 AM in response to brandonhayby putnik,That is right, just trash the old beta installer. Then either go to the "Purchases" tag in App Store and download the new full installer (5.16Gb) or go to the Apple Store link Babowa gave you.

Oct 17, 2014 9:02 AM in response to brandonhayby Kingoftypos,This is my first beta testing of software as well. From what I understand if you've downloaded and installed Yosemite beta version 6. You already have the final version.
Go to the and click on About This Mac. On the new window click on the System Report. On that new window click on ⬇︎Software.
I still have Yosemite Beta 6 installed. So this is what I am seeing.
"System Version: OS X 10.10 (14A388b)"
For those who have the Yosemite that was released yesterday, what does that say?
