Oct 17, 2014 5:24 AM in response to rjboklemanby KiltedTim,Outlook and Excel work fine for me. Haven't tried Word (no need to last night after I installed Yosemite).
Are you having a problem?

Oct 17, 2014 5:27 AM in response to rjboklemanby Ralph Landry1,★HelpfulThere should not be any problems with Office 2011 and Yosemite...Word works great for me, accesses all files, prints without issues, just like normal.

Oct 17, 2014 5:29 AM in response to KiltedTimby rjbokleman,I haven't upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite yet and wanted to see how folks were making out rather than jumping in head first. I'm glad things appear to be working for you, makes me more inclined to do the upgrade today. Thanks!!

Oct 17, 2014 5:31 AM in response to rjboklemanby Ralph Landry1,At the moment the servers seem a bit overloaded...have had issues downloading some updates such as iPhoto and iMovie...if you have very slow download you can Pause the download and come back to it later. You will need to be patient with it right now. The installer is 5.16GB.

Oct 17, 2014 5:35 AM in response to rjboklemanby Ralph Landry1,★HelpfulOne more tip, when you do download, go to System Preferences, App Store and uncheck the boxes to auto-install updates. Then when the download completes, you will be able to copy the OS X Yosemite installer from Finder, Applications to a flash drive, at least 8 GB flash drive, so you do not have to download again if you want to install on another machine.

Mac OS XI've been running Yosemite with Office 2011 for a number of months now - there was, early on, a glitch with Outlook, but that was fixed by Apple several iterations ago.
I've experienced no other problems in any Office product.
Good luck,
Clinton

Oct 17, 2014 6:11 AM in response to rjboklemanby Ghostwitness,I have been using Mac Office 2011 on my MBP with Yosemite since Beta 2. No problems to notice. I use all of the programs as this is my work computer. Outlook for mail, Word for documents, Excel for spreadsheets, OneNote for keeping quick notes and info that I can see and edit on my iPhone and iPad too. It does feel odd using so much of Microsoft on my Mac since I have moved to all Apple products in my computing world.

Oct 23, 2014 4:30 AM in response to Peter Chmielewskiby KiltedTim,You might want to start a new thread. Lync isn't part of Office 2011, which is the subject of this thread.

Oct 27, 2014 1:57 AM in response to Darklykozby ppissierssens,Sorry to report differently: I upgraded to Yosemite a week ago and have nothing but problems with MS Word: very frequently the application crashes. It does not even manage to restore Word after a crash. Not happy at all.
