Jul 5, 2013 9:37 PM in response to devmulappleby gail from maine,Sorry - if you do not have a backup of those things - either on your computer, on an external drive, or on iCloud, then no. If they were irreplaceable, not sure why they wouldn't have been backed up?
Any music, apps, movies, etc. that you purchased from iTunes can be re-downloaded if it is indicated on the chart that is linked below:

Sorry for your troubles,

Jul 5, 2013 9:38 PM in response to devmulappleby deggie,How did it automatically Restore? What message did you get when you connected it?
Had you previously backed up this iPhone to a computer or the Cloud?
Apps and purchased music can be downloaded again. If you were using Photo Stream you can recover some of the photos taken with your camera.

Oct 17, 2014 4:16 PM in response to swimmergby gail from maine,If you have not already created an iCoud or iTunes backup, and you are now in Recovery Mode (USB Cable with iTunes Logo), all of your information is already erased.
If you do have an automatic iCloud backup setup, or if you have recently backup up your device to iTunes, then you can restore to one of those backups after restoring to Factory Settings:
Best of luck.
