Oct 17, 2014 12:05 AM in response to Tom Wolskyby Swedishgod8582,Mine does the same. At first I could push the update button and it would just "ghost" out. So I put the APP in the trash then took it out & now its telling me i need to purchase it through the App store. The APP itself has has Circle X on it and says "Wont work with this OS X" What now?

Oct 17, 2014 2:48 AM in response to Swedishgod8582by Tom Wolsky,Is the application on your Purchases page of the App Store when you're signed in with the Apple ID that was used to purchase it?
FCP 10.1.3 is the only version I believe that will work with Yosemite.

Oct 18, 2014 5:45 PM in response to Tom Wolskyby kiwibaitnz,Wait, the people at the genius bar in the Apple store said that when I buy a second hand apple the apps on can still be used and updated. Now, they have failed me. I demand a refund or at least enough store credit to buy Final Cut Pro X (Again). I had to pay extra for my computer because of your service.

Oct 18, 2014 7:59 PM in response to kiwibaitnzby Tom Wolsky,You're not going to get a refund from anyone here. We're just users like you. This is a user to user forum. You might try getting a refund from the Apple Store, though I've never heard of it being done.

When I did the last "new" update it didn't allow me to export videos or movies anymore. With this yosemote update i can't even open the program or upgrade in apps. I have a video potentially lost and no idea about purchase info. A friend put it on my computer. Is there a way of getting a newer final cut with out losing videos/ movies ?

Oct 20, 2014 3:33 AM in response to Tom Wolskyby antgmitch,Tom, I'm having similar issue. I have bought FCP 10.0 and have it on an old mac book pro. when i try and upgrade a pop up tells me that my video card is not compatible with the update, so it won't let me update.
I have just bought a mac mini, when i go to the app store to download FCP, it gives me the price. To download i need to buy it again. I have download motion 5 and a few other , already purchased on the mac book pro, bits and pieces no problems.
I have copied FCP to a hard drive and copied it across to the mac mini, but a cross goes across the icon; when i double click on it a pop up telling me that i need to update the version before i can install comes up. this takes me back to the above problem, my video card on the macbook is not compatible with the update.
Please help.
Thank you
