Oct 16, 2014 9:29 PM in response to tjnelsonjuniorby cyrusdubash, yes it is one way, so you are not able to see the little icon on the iPhone's lock screen ?
Are you facing the same problem as I am?
Thanks Cyrus !

Oct 16, 2014 9:31 PM in response to cyrusdubashby cyrusdubash,I hope they rectify it. I thought this version would work better with less glitches compared to the PB !

Oct 16, 2014 10:00 PM in response to cyrusdubashby tjnelsonjunior, yup! same issue. although now it appears the "one-way" direction has changed. now Mac to iPhone works. but not the other way around.
edit for system info:
MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012) - OSX 10.10
iPhone 6 - iOS 8.0.2
*update*
- turned off iPhone
- turned off Bluetooth on Mac
- waited a few minutes and turned Bluetooth back on
- waited a few minutes and powered on the phone
- works (two-ways)!

Oct 17, 2014 5:29 AM in response to alecf1by cyrusdubash,I guess we will have to wait for iOS 8 .1 that releases on Monday. Hopefully everything is going to just work once we have it.

Oct 17, 2014 7:21 AM in response to alecf1by alecf1,working now, though as pointed out ipad 3 not supported for handoff, hence no General - handoff option. Though can answer calls from iphone on ipad3. not sure handoff is worth an ipad upgrade just yet.

Oct 17, 2014 7:49 AM in response to cyrusdubashby argonman,I'll be damned -- I have a 5S with latest 8.x.x or whatever it is -- and upgraded my Mac from Mavericks to Yosemite.
Same as you -- seemingly, iPhone to Mac works fine but Mac to iPhone does not.
All my settings look correct, as you noticed for yourself as well.
I have a 5S on ATT and a Macbook Air; just bought the 13" version with 8GB of RAM a few days ago, actually.
I also noticed -- if you set Chrome as your default browser on Mac -- and then say, open a page on the iPhone, it'll show the handoff icon on the Mac and it'll open Chrome, as it should -- but Chrome opens to whatever is default; in other words, it doesn't seem to handoff properly unless your default is Safari.

Oct 17, 2014 9:05 AM in response to cyrusdubashby Steve Constantinou,I could use handoff fine in my beta, since yosemite its stopped, all is setup correctly bluetooth is on but can't carry on using safari on either iMac or 6 plus

Oct 17, 2014 5:35 PM in response to cyrusdubashby orchetect,Similar inconsistency for me, too.
I could AirDrop & Handoff from my Mac to the iPhone, but not the other way around.
I find rebooting my iPhone will temporarily fix the problem and restore proper 2-way AirDrop & Handoff.
But I think when you take the iPhone out of range, or reboot your Mac, or something (not sure what exactly, yet), it breaks the 2-way functionality.
(I'm using a mid-2013 MacBook Air on Yosemite 10.10.0 & iPhone 5 on iOS 8.0.2)

Oct 17, 2014 6:58 PM in response to cyrusdubashby LandRoverNC,Same issue. Macbook Pro 2013, iPhone 6 iOS 8, iPad Air iOS8...bluetooth will not pair to any device. Devices showing up duplicated in Settings-> Bluetooth. None will pair and the 'Forget this Device' option is greyed out.
Not a great start. 8.1 maybe fixes?

Oct 17, 2014 8:41 PM in response to cyrusdubashby utMike,Resetting PRAM helped my case which was similar. With the Mac OFF, turn on and immediately press option+command+P+R and keep pressed until you've heard the startup tone twice then release. You may have to re-pair devices after this

Oct 17, 2014 9:08 PM in response to utMikeby argonman,Interesting, so as of about 15 min ago -- seems to work much more consistently... and in both directions. For instance, composing this now and on my lock screen, I have a Safari icon so that is good.
Only complaint now really is the default browser deal. I want Chrome on my Mac to be default and when I 'handoff' from phone to Mac, it should work. It'll open Chrome, but Chrome opens to whatever it is configured for as far as start pages -- seemingly, doesn't do the handoff.
The rest of handoff seems to be working though now. Just literally started about 15 min ago. Maybe it was / is a server side issue?
