Oct 17, 2014 8:47 PM in response to invereskby randers4,You can change the phone number as follows:
- In iOS 8, tap Settings > iCloud > Keychain > Advanced. In iOS 7, tap Settings > iCloud > Account > Keychain. Make sure the phone number under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
- In OS X Mavericks v10.9, choose Apple () > System Preferences. Click iCloud, then click Account Details. Make sure the phone number under Verification number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.

Oct 17, 2014 8:58 PM in response to randers4by inveresk,Thanks for the response. I'm running Yosemite and in the iCloud preferences, Account Details, there are a number of headings: General, Contact, Security, Payment. None of them contain an option for Verification number. Same in IOS 8.
I've tried going into iCloud through Safari, then manage my apple id, to change the phone numbers and the security code is still sent to my landline.
Any other ideas how I resolve this?

Oct 17, 2014 9:01 PM in response to invereskby randers4,I'm not using iCloud keychain on my Mac, but on my phone (iOS 8.0.2), it's in Settings>iCloud>Keychain>Advanced in the Verification Number section.

Oct 17, 2014 9:16 PM in response to randers4by inveresk,F'raid the screenshot isn't openable on either my iPad or iMac. Thanks for trying.
I seem to have passwords stored in iCloud keychain. I don't remember switching iCloud keychain on and if I do so now, I get the message that the current passwords in iCloud keychain will replace the ones on my iPad. I can't risk that so guess I need to phone Apple Support.

Oct 17, 2014 9:18 PM in response to invereskby randers4,If you can't access this setting on your devices, you're only choice is to contacts Apple support. They will verify your identity and should then be able to change it at their end. Good luck!
