Q: No widgets in Yosemite notification center

I can only view the weather in the notification center.  The only other widget that can be enabled is Social.  I had stocks, calendar, and the calculator all working with Public Beta 6.  Does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?

Found them in the folder path, double click on them, Terminal windows open, then nothing.

Found the widgets in the folder path, opened the widget simulator, and then right clicked on the widget and opened with the simulator.  This worked, but man this is a weird bug.

Sadly, even that doesn't fix it for me. When I open any of the widgets using the simulator, I get this error:

Screen Shot 2014-10-17 at 17.13.20 .png

The path is correct, and renaming or moving the widget doesn't help any.

The fix worked for me until I restarted then I lost the widgets again.

Strange, the screenshot stopped working on Apple's forums. Anyway, the message I get when trying to load any of the widgets in the Simulator is "Failed to find Widget /System/Library/Frameworks/NotificationCenter.framework/PlugIns/com.apple.ncplu gin.weather.appex"

Mine survived rebooting at least. My share button meanwhile got populated by the DEVONthink extension. But still no other sharing options... Looks like a similar behavior like the notification center extensions...

I'm using a Mid-2012 Macbook Pro - I didn't install any of the PB's and I'd lost the notification widgets and the social sharing options. Managed to get the notification widgets working again, bar the social one using the information in this thread. It works on the guest accounts and I'm contemplating migrating to a new user account to just have stuff that works.

This is what I'm getting below, and I get this when I run the similar notifications widget file. I don't understand what this means, but I'm guessing "cannot execute binary file" is the issue. Anyone found a fix for this?

So do we all have similar behavior?

    1. No widgets in notification center (temp fix above)
    2. No service in sharing (I have one there though, DEVONthink)
    3. No mail markup
    4. No Actions in the System Prefs -> Extensions
    5. When creating a new user all works just fine.

    Seem 1.-4. are related somehow.

Also no success trying to open the social widgets with the simulator. Same behavior as shown above.

All those and I also cannot change any notification settings in System Preferences, like changing Calendar alerts to banners. Any changes I make disappear on reboot.

What worked for me, was adding the widgets via the simulator in the resources window. Then in the Today view pane, I removed the widgets one by one. Then repaired and verified disk permissions. Do a restart and you should see the widgets in the edit pane of the Today view. Add the widgets and even after a restart they should still be there, at least for me they were still there.

    Steps:

1.) Add widgets via the simulator in NotificationCenter.Framework

2.) Remove them from the Today view main pain

3.) Repair and Verify Disk Permissions (not sure if this is really necessary)

4.) Restart and everything should still be working (hopefully)

Hope they come up with a fix for this soon. No comment on the Social Widget LOL

I can confirm it survives a reboot. Again, Action extensions, social sharing etc. still no avail.

My Social Widgets are working, fixed it whilst fixing the Safari Share menu issue

    I went to :

    /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ShareKit.framework/Versions/A/PlugIns/

Clicked on each plugin in turn opening with the Widget Simulator ignoring the error message and they were all appearing in the menus, both in the System Preferences > Extensions and the Safari Share Menu. I've restarted and they are all still there and yes, I tried the Facebook one and it worked
