Oct 18, 2014 8:39 AM in response to mommuby j-m-d,this Mini is my secondary machine, so I will be using the functional ext speakers until this is resolved/ I will not be upgrading the iMac any time soon I guess. And given the way iOS 8 went, I won't be jumping on 8.1 this Monday ............

Oct 18, 2014 12:02 PM in response to mommuby Ryan916,Same issue here. I have an early 2011. Connect to my Vizio sounder via bluetooth and it lags when playing iTunes. I upgraded my Macbook Pro with more ram and a faster HDD and was happy because I thought it would last awhile, needless to say it's feeling pretty obsolete right now...

Oct 18, 2014 2:09 PM in response to mommuby ksyed1,Same problem with me too, using 2009 White Macbook and sony bluetooth headset. Delay gets progressing over time. Initially I thought it was a problem with browser, but same issue with local video file or audio file. Irrespective of application used, delay is due to bluetooth connection. Looking for fix soon in OS X Yosemite

Oct 18, 2014 7:27 PM in response to mommuby gumbright,Same thing here. Panasonic SC-NE1 via Bluetooth, worked just fine with Mavericks and Mountain Lion. Delay builds over time, most noticeable for me watching movies in iTunes.

Oct 18, 2014 7:50 PM in response to mommuby mommu,Things we know so far
It's definitely related to OS X Yosemite upgrade.
Not related to the model of the headphones used.
Most case, it's the older machines that is affected. ( we'll know if this is true as more people come forward)
Solution tried but unsuccessful
Re-Pairing bluetooth
Resetting pram

Oct 18, 2014 8:08 PM in response to mommuby readytorun,I posted this last night in another forum
"I used disk utility to repair the permissions nd all that crap, restarted a few times. someone in another forum suggest resetting pram but then someone else said it didn't work either. the problem remains but i cant tell if its my cautious optimism thinking things are slightly better (after using the Utility)or..... maybe not. I'm also going easy on the system.
dont even try to play video games - enormous lag."
i havent reset the pram yet. the problem seemed ok but now its back.
i also am noticing something else. part of why i used safari is it seemed like - and I'm no computer person - google chrome built up cache in the background sooner than safari at one point, which I thought might be why it seemed faster. now I know this because I downloaded this application called "CleanApp" which tells me the amount of cache and choice to delete it. this is how i know this comparison. since yosemite the cache overall has been much larger and builds up quicker having to throw it away more often. which is strange.
i also get a sort of ghost image of the vlc viewer window after i've closed the program which disappears at about the same time as the audio delay is.
every once in awhile throughout the system the fonts will be a sort of pixelized rainbow color as well. there used to be muticolor squares in the place of icons the system had not loaded, or something, yet but that problem seems to have worked itself out. the audio still delays.
i have a late 2012 iMac etc..

Oct 19, 2014 10:15 AM in response to themrmesby TheRonin612,Hello,
i am using a late 2013 MBPr using a Klipsch GiG and experiencing the same audio lag issue. No problems with Mavericks. When i disconnect the BT speaker and reconnect the problem goes away for about 10mins and the lag comes back.

Oct 19, 2014 10:26 AM in response to mommuby Alexje V,Same problem, also have stuttering with playback sometimes. Didn't have issues on mavericks. Lag is huge, like 3-4 seconds ( takes 0:03 to hear a track in Spotify)... Hope they will fix this...
